Visit the Taourirt Kasbah or Atlas Film Studios before checking into your hotel or riad for the night.
After breakfast, travel through the palm groves of Skoura Oasis and the fragrant Rose Valley. Follow the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs as you journey into the stunning Dades Valley. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. Enjoy a magical sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp with music, food, and stars above.
Wake up to an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region including visits to nomadic families, the Gnawa village of Khamlia (known for African spiritual music), and the seasonal lake of Dayet Srji (home to flamingos in spring). Return to your riad in Merzouga for relaxation or optional sandboarding/quad biking.
After breakfast, begin the return journey through the desert. Pass through Alnif and enjoy scenic views of the Anti-Atlas mountains. Arrive in the lush Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s largest palm grove and a string of ancient kasbahs. Continue to the quiet town of Agdz for an overnight stay in a kasbah-style guesthouse.
