Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben haddou – Ouarzazate

We will collect you from your lodging in the morning to commence our excursion through the High Atlas Mountains on our Marrakech Desert Tours. We will travel via Tizi n t’ichka (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the magnificent landscapes. Our journey will then take us to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO world heritage site known for being one of the most well-preserved and spectacular Kasbahs in Morocco. Following this, we will proceed to Dades, passing through the city of Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Africa, a renowned filming location for movies such as “Gladiator” and “The Mummy.”

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora

we will drive to Agdez crossing the anti-Atlas at 1660 altitude, and to zagora with crossing Drâa Valleythe largest river in Morocco. After arrival to Zagora, we will have lunch in a restaurant, then later drive to Tamgroute, where we will visit old Koranic library. After, come back To Zagora.

Day 3: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

In the morning , we drive to Merzouga, crosssing again Draa Valley with some stop in Berber village as Tazarine, Alnif the capital villages of the Berber Ait Atta tribe. later go to Rissani, once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Timbuktu in Mali. Arrival to Merzouga where you will meet your camel caravan then taking a tour among the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will attend the sunset before to get your bivouac camp. There yo will enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars. Local nomads will provide the entertainment and show you how to play the Tam Tam drums.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinjdad – Todra Gorges

1. Today, you have the chance to rise early and witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. after breakfast, we will depart from the Desert towards Tinghir and Todra Gorges. The journey will take us through Tinejdad and the Todra Valley, offering picturesque views along the way. This beautiful region provides numerous walking opportunities, whether it be strolling along the river through the gardens or hiking up the road on the opposite side of the gorge. Afterwards, we will proceed to Todga Gorges where we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 5: Todra Gorges – Boumalne – Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will go to Boumalne Dads, and Valley of the Roses, famous for it’s Rose Festival in May, and past the kasbahs of Skoura. We will stay in a Hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech

We’ll make a visit to town of Ouarzazate, then keep way to kasbah of Taourirt and Studio. From here, a newly asphalted road continues to Telouet. Telouet is set right in the midst of the mountains, and was once the seat of the last Pasha of Marrakech, El Glaoui, from where the highest pass in Africa, Tizi n’Tichka, was controlled. At the end of the afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech. where our Marrakech Desert Tours  trip end.
