Depart from Ouarzazate and visit the Skoura Oasis and its famous Amridil Kasbah. Continue through the Valley of Roses and arrive at the dramatic Dades Gorges. Stop for lunch, then continue to Tinghir where you can enjoy a short walk in the palm grove. Overnight in a local hotel or riad in the area.
After breakfast, explore the impressive Todra Gorges — a paradise for climbers. Then drive through Erfoud and reach Merzouga by afternoon. Here, you’ll switch to camels and ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to your desert camp. Enjoy sunset views, a traditional Moroccan dinner, and live Berber music around the fire. Overnight in a standard or luxury tent.
Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga. Visit the traditional market in Rissani, then travel through desert landscapes and Berber villages. Stop in Taznakht, famous for handmade Berber carpets, before arriving back in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.
