Camels are waiting to take you on a two-hours ride into the desert. You go to highest sand dune where you enjoy an unforgettable sunset.
The night is spent in a nomad tent close to the dunes of Erg Lihoudi or Bivauc Rass Nkhal.
After having your morning meal, embark on a journey to the Erg Chegaga dunes, which stand at a height of 300 meters and are located 60 kilometers off-road. This path will take you through various desert landscapes such as ‘erg’, ‘reg’, ‘hammada’, and oases (lunch will be served in the desert). These dunes are situated far from any signs of civilization, truly encapsulating the essence of the desert with its profound silence and vast stretches of sand. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a bivouac consisting of nomadic tents in Chegaga.
After breakfast,we embark on a journey through an additional 90km of desert, encountering diverse landscapes such as Lake Iriqui, majestic mountains, and intriguing fossils. Our midday meal will be enjoyed in Foum Zguid, the initial village encountered after traversing the desert. The return drive to Ouarzazate will be on well-maintained roads, passing through the renowned village of Taznakht, celebrated for its exquisite Berber carpets and rugs.
